To find global catalog servers on my active directory on server 2003 network
You must be a member of the Domain Users group in Active Directory for this action
You can find by GUI and Command mode
1. Open Active Directory Sites and Services by administrative tools or
type command “dssite.msc” on run
2. In the console tree, expand the Sites container, then expand domain controller you want to check, expand the Servers container, then Server object.
3. Right-click the NTDS Settings object, and then click Properties.
4. On the General tab, if the Global Catalog box is selected, the domain controller is designated as a global catalog server.

Finding global catalog server by command
Want to determine where the global catalogs are? For your current (logon) domain, just type dsquery server -domain domainname.com -isgcThe resulting output is a list of DNs for global catalogs, such as
CN=C name,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-
Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=domain naem,DC=com

    DSQUERY server can also be used to locate global catalogs in a specific domain. To do this, use the â€"Domain parameter.
Note :-For about dsquery command type “dsquery /?”

Finding global catalog server by using nslookup

Now you will see the list of Global Catalog Server including Host IP
