How to find Event Viewer Log for Check Disk (chkdsk) in Windows

Some time disk is given some error, In that case we need to run Check disk by the command mode or From GUI mode. And Also check disk ran on windows start up then i need to find the log files and investigate the issue.
In that case How to Read the Event Viewer Log for Check Disk (chkdsk) in Windows 7

You have only one option to read log file for Check disk on any windows by following these steps.
  • Simply Run the event viewer from computer management or you can also access directly from command mode, Open RUN - eventvwr.msc
  • If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes (Windows 7) or Continue (Vista)
  • In Windows 7 - In the left pane of Event Viewer, double click on Windows Logs to expand it, then right click on Application and click on Find.
  • Type Chkdsk into the line, and click on Find Next.

NOTE: You can continue to click on Find Next to search for other older application logs (if available) for Check Disk (chkdsk) to see them as well
