How To Remove Disconnected Network Drives From My Computer

Problem Keyword -
How to remove disconnected drives from Windows Explorer,
Can't remove network drive, Windows 7 mapped network drive.
shows as disconnected, Win7 Network drive still show after Disconnected in my Computer,

Solutions -
Method 1-
Step 1 - Try to disconnect map drive from Right click on my computer, Click disconnect map drive.
Step 2 - Select the mapped drive which want to disconnect, and Click ok.
Step 3 - Now you unable to see Map drive in my computer. If still see mapped drive in my computer go next step.

Method 2 -
Step 4 - Re-mapped the same drive and again try to disconnect by command below -
  • Open command by typing cmd in run.
  • For mapped drive Type - net use driveletter: \\sharefolder\path  (Example - net use z: \\dfs\sample\share)
  • For disconnected map drive - net use /delete driveletter: (Example - net use /delete z: )
  • If still disconnect drive present the go to next step.
Step 5 - Restart process - explorer.exe from task manager or use the following command for forcibly end explorer.exe
  • For end task type in command prompt - taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
  • For start task explorer.exe type - explorer.exe
