You can configure Windows Server to display a message to users when they log on. You can use the message display functionality to personalize the logon process, provide news or information, and for other similar purposes. The message appears after the user presses CTRL+ALT+DEL and disappears after the user clicks OK.

I have Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 client PC’s, I followed the exact same directions that you listed and what everybody else online lists….but after numerous attempts and gpudpate /forces and reboots….the message never appears at login. Any ideas???

I also can not get any scripts to work on Windows 7.

One of the reasons you don't see the interactive logon message on windows 2008 R2 or Windows 7 is if have configured only the message text. Once you set an "Interactive logon: Message title" (just below the interactive message logon text) and wait or run gpupdate you should be able to see the message at logon (even with RDC)
